A good lawyer knows the law and a great lawyer knows the judge. I'm neither and I never have applied to a law school. Of course legal stuff is very useful to know and some of us in the class room might need the knowledge someday you never know but for me Monday was the true test of concentration which I seemingly have none! Anyway hosted by Marjaana Marmo this week featured 2 lectures of finnish law, mostly competition law and similar regarding online shops. However I don't know what to tell about law so I'm gonna focus on everything else that happened this week.
First cool thing of the week: Task given by Marjaana Marmo. Our group tackled the task right away and did it after it was given on Monday. One of the tasks was to find a cancellation form from an online shop and first we were going to use kaalimato's cancellation form but maybe it was good that we didn't since we were asked to show the cancellation form on Thursday to whole class. We ended up using verkkokauppa.com's cancellation form. They have easy and clear instructions for their customers.
Next was Thursday's presentations. Nothing too special happened since everyone was reading straight from their powerpoint slides and Marmo wasn't too happy about it. After class we stayed with the team to progress with our SSM task. Some documentation was done and we're hoping to finish doing it next week. Last but not least it's time for a little rant. I had some business to do with Laurea's student affairs offices. On Monday it was closed and I checked that it's open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Well I thought that since I have school on Thursday I can handle it then. But no, Thursday comes and there was a piece of paper on the office door saying that they're closed today. I was getting a bit angry and clueless what to do since I needed to do some paperwork this week. Well my last option was to call Leppävaara's office on Friday and ask if they can help me there. I called them three times and no one answered. WHERE I'M SUPPOSED TO GET SERVICE FROM?!? Nothing else to say. I never had these problems during the three years I was in Metropolia but gotta deal with it. Thanks for reading. The end.
