Nice TV-series and I thought it would be a fitting title since this week's main subject was personal branding. Personal brand is a combination of image and reputation. There are ways to affect it if you're conscious about your actions and try to be more like you want other people to see you. If you want to brand yourself as an trustful and reputable person then don't act like an complete fool. For me personally I'll let this blog to do some of the talking so you can have some kind of an image who I am. Also I think there are two different kind of brands. The professional brand and the brand what kind of person you are to your friends and family. If a collegue and someone close person to me would share their thoughts about what kind of person I am then they'd probably be quite different.
Tabula Rasa which is latin and means empty board. That's something to think about when you're branding yourself. When you start at new school/job/whatever people have no kind idea who you are so there is always a chance for a fresh start if you're not happy with your personal brand. That is of course if the internet isn't full of stuff about you since anyone curious enough can google your name and access all the info out there. Luckily Finland is full of people with the same name as I have and I've been trying to keep my mouth shut in social media and behave nicely so I don't lose my reputation if my future employer decides to google my name.

On Thursday we had one of our digi coaches Viliina sharing her tips about performing and presentation skills. For me personally it was interesting since the first 20 years of my life I struggled with stage fright and only the last few years I've been able to perform more casually in front of an audience. Since then I've finally been able to focus on other parts of performing instead of fighting against anxiety. My favourite tip from Viliina was the pace of speech. That's going the be next thing I'm really going to focus improving on since I feel like I talk way too fast when giving an presentation. Like many other things in life experience and time ultimately helps to become great performer. As usual Forbes also lists great tips
Closing this week's blog I'll leave a video of my personal pitch which was our task.
